From swing to jumperoo

I know I've mentioned countless times how much I love T's swing. Well, it's hard to admit but T is slowly growing too big for his swing. These days, the belt buckle barely fits around his waist and the swing creaks as it tries to sway back and forth, carrying T's weight. Sometimes, C and I have to give it an extra push to get it to sway the way it used to. I don't think T enjoys the swing as much because it doesn't move as vigorously as it used to so ten minutes into his ride, he usually starts to fuss. In normal circumstances, I would have started panicking. But I'm a cool mamma these days because, thanks to Auntie S, we have found a new toy for T. The rainforest jumperoo. It's still too early to tell whether it can sufficiently replace the highly esteemed swing but so far, it's impressed us and continues to show real potential. Although T's toes barely touches the floor when he's in it, thanks to a couple albums supporting him and some flashy, noisy toys, he's been happily entertained. Just a day ago, I think he discovered his hands and started touching some of the little side gadgets. And of course, as mentioned in my last post, he accompanies the banging with an occasional, incomprehensible, drool-filled soliloquy.

The jumperoo doesn't make him smile like Elmo does but it keeps him busily entertained and best of all, gives C, grandma/grandpa, auntie S and I a chance to eat dinner peacefully (for about 10 minutes). Yahooo!

Wow, what's that yellow flower?
Ha ha, this is so much fun!

He he he

Ha ha ha ha...

Huh? Where's Elmo?

What's that thing there, daddy?

Wow, what cool gadgets!

Hi there, I'm leaning against mommy's legs!

Hi again

He looks like he's having so much fun! Our exersaucer eventually replaced the swing but don't give up the swing just yet! When K started to develop her fine motor skills, she loved the tray with the fish attached to it. The swing became a whole new toy! Glad to hear he's enjoyed it so much. =)

Oh, when when she got too big for it, she used to put her baby dolls in it and rock them!
